I do not think, that God would let difficulties, illness, worries , tragedies out of fun, it is not possible that He accidentally dosed off , and a painful event just happened to slip into one’s life, everything has a reason here on earth . He is not a sadist to find joy in our pains , but our wise Father , who would like us to grow up into eternity , and sitting together with Him at the one table He can share with us not only the joy of eternal life , but His divine wisdom, His caring goodness , His world forming power .
For this at times we need God’s sculpting chisel , hammer . We have a need to be cleansed at times , to be free of our vainness , haughtiness , arrogance, and our eyes to be opened to the more profound truths .
