Not long ago I heard the story of a father, who donated of his kidneys to his child , accepting the surgery , the pain , the possibility of death just to give his child a chance to survive 

For a bigger goal one can make a sacrifice . We , people, are the children of God . Jesus accepted this sacrifice for our life, for our salvation .

He could have decided otherwise , the Father did not force Him.
