Tuesday 8 August the Feast of Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop Australia’s first saint.
It is amazing how often we get bogged down in the details and the really important issues are pushed  into the background. The behaviour of the pharisees surfaces at every turn: The country organises the olympic games , but behold for that a few trees have to be removed ! Well then we can plant new ones and life moves on ! To mobilise the young people to get them out of the homes , leaving  the different gadgets behind , so that they can lead a life with sound mind in a sound body , that certainly has a price !!
It is quite certain that this nitpicking behaviour also raise its head in our lives too ! No matter how hard you work on your land the weed again and again raises it head , the hoe never retires. It is frightful to see that for minor problems families, important events are endangered , because where people with sensitive souls cannot sit down talking things over , then there , there will be always a “washing of the hands” , a "copper dish” not rinsed properly, an excuse, so that we can turn against each other !!
Let love and goodwill come from our hearts and then our world will surely prosper !!
With love,
Father Csaba

1 Then Pharisees and scribes came to Jesus from Jerusalem and said,
2 "Why do your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat."
10 And he called the people to him and said to them, "Hear and understand:
11 not what goes into the mouth defiles a man, but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man."
12 Then the disciples came and said to him, "Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?"
13 He answered, "Every plant which my heavenly Father has not planted will be rooted up.
14 Let them alone; they are blind guides. And if a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit.”
Mathew 15, 1-2,10-14
