Father Csaba’s reflection on the gospel Saturday 30b_300_300_16777215_00_images_stories_Alapitvany_Hirek_22712295_10155732127452278_4641183712089459338_o.jpg December 2017
The prophetess Anna devoted her life to God !  We can give away our days, years for so many things , why is it so difficult to to give an hour or so for God ?! This is the woman :"coming forward at that very time, she gave thanks to God and spoke about the child to all who were awaiting the redemption of Jerusalem.” Luke 2,40 Today as well many are waiting for redemption, consolation, encouragement, how great it would be if in our churches there would be men and women who humbly , with a pure heart would welcome the people opening the church door. It is an immeasurably great joy to be good, to do good , to get started, walk on the way of the prophetess Anna !! This way is so simple , lets try it out , lets present ourselves with the quietness of the church , our God’s sacred presence , and if I experienced  the gentler than even a child's presence of our Lord Jesus Christ present in the Holy Eucharist , lets speak up about it and speak with confidence about it, lets become the great God’s prophets !
With love,
Father Csaba
translated by dr k.e.
There was a prophetess, Anna,
the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher.
She was advanced in years,
having lived seven years with her husband after her marriage,
and then as a widow until she was eighty-four.
She never left the temple,
but worshiped night and day with fasting and prayer.
And coming forward at that very time,
she gave thanks to God and spoke about the child
to all who were awaiting the redemption of Jerusalem.
When they had fulfilled all the prescriptions
of the law of the Lord,
they returned to Galilee,
to their own town of Nazareth.
The child grew and became strong, filled with wisdom;
and the favour of God was upon him.
Luke 2, 36-40
