Father Csaba’s reflection on the gospel Monday 24 December 2018 Christmas Eve 

"Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, for he has looked favourably on his people and redeemed them. “ Luke 1,67

Getting ready for the night of Christmas letting go of God ’s  gifts , lets turn our faces towards the Giver !! We asked for strength , healing , happiness for our loved ones , lets ask now for the joy of meeting with the One , who gives us healing, the Healer , the source of Joy, Jesus Christ ! No matter how beautiful, wonderful the creatures are , our heart is yearning for the Creator with unquenchable desire !!  

On the night of Christmas heaven and earth touched, God and man sat at the one table , this meeting is  the salvation , because we are all yearning for this meeting ! The Infinity is within our reach also ! Our hopeful supplications , prayers do not arise from a foolish desire , an unfounded utopia , but from the everlasting beautiful promise of our Lord :"Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.” Book of Revelation 3,20

Praying fervently lets ask ,that this Christmas the gift , maybe the One , the Giver of the gifts !

Then his father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke this prophecy: "Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, for he has looked favourably on his people and redeemed them. He has raised up a mighty saviour for us in the house of his servant David, as he spoke through the mouth of his holy prophets from of old, that we would be saved from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us. Thus he has shown the mercy promised to our ancestors, and has remembered his holy covenant, the oath that he swore to our ancestor Abraham, to grant us that we, being rescued from the hands of our enemies, might serve him without fear, in holiness and righteousness before him all our days . And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most High; for you will go before the Lord to prepare his ways, to give knowledge of salvation to his people by the forgiveness of their sins. By the tender mercy of our God, the dawn from on high will break upon us, to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace."
