‘The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,because he has anointed me to bring good news to the poor.He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind,to let the oppressed go free,to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.’ Luke 4, 14
With what wonderful wisdom does Jesus Christ initiates , the proclamation of the gospel in His homeland ! He teaches with infinite love , goodness , heals the sick and people are outraged by Him. Jesus remarked  “A prophet is not without honor except in his own town and in his own home.”58  And he did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith.” Matthew 13,57
Why is it so difficult to see with our eyes and think at some length what the other person is telling us ! A great proportion of Jesus Christ’s contemporaries are unable to make sense of the wonderful , wise teaching ! Two thousand years have gone by and Christians are murdered daily ! For example  today in the southern part of  the Philippines terrorist detonated a bomb in the church during mass that left at least 27 people dead and 77 injured . Two time bombs went off in Sulu province in the capital  Jolo in the cathedral there the first one during mass, the second one in the parking lot after the rescue work has started , according to a military spokesman Gerry Benson .
People cause each other , themselves  a lot of pain . Around me wherever I look children, adults live overwhelmed by their wounds ! It would be so simple to go to one another and calmly ask them , look “this is what I’ve heard “ is it true and if so why did you do this or that ? We are not even trying to find out the truth, we just detonate if not a time bomb then a judgement or the bomb of slander , accusation !!
Lets look into ourselves and lets try to greet with great love , accept my brother living next to me , I should want and be willing to open and continue a dialogue with the ones living in my vicinity !
Let us pray with the words of our father Saint Francis ,
Father Csaba
translated by dr k.e.
Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy.
O, Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love; For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; it is in dying that we are born again to eternal life.
The Word of God
Since many have undertaken to set down an orderly account of the events that have been fulfilled among us, just as they were handed on to us by those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and servants of the word, I too decided, after investigating everything carefully from the very first, to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, so that you may know the truth concerning the things about which you have been instructed. Then Jesus, filled with the power of the Spirit, returned to Galilee, and a report about him spread through all the surrounding country. He began to teach in their synagogues and was praised by everyone.
When he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, he went to the synagogue on the sabbath day, as was his custom. He stood up to read, and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was given to him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written:
‘The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
 because he has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives
and recovery of sight to the blind,
to let the oppressed go free,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.’
And he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant, and sat down. The eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on him. Then he began to say to them, ‘Today this scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.’
Luke 1:1-4, 4:14-21
