Blessed are you Peter…...‘Get behind me, Satan!…
Jesus Christ calls Saint Peter , who recognizes the Messiah , blessed, because he thinks , talks according to the will of the Heavenly Father !! At the same time , when Peter with goodwill , but from a human perspective looks into the future , grabbing his sword  ,shouting meets with Jesus’ judgement:”Get behind me Satan !”
We would like to believe that there is a great distance between heaven and earth , a sanctified life and a man wallowed in sin  but this is not the case !The wall is thin and if we do not watch out very easily our life can swing over to the wrong side !! Yes, the bad news is that the door of damnation is open in front of all of us even if Christ Himself calls us blessed, the good news is that the way to salvation can never be closed off before us once and for all. Lets dare to take hold of our God’s hand ! Lets search  in prayer for our God’s holy will , and in our everyday life let us be guided by our conscience , in peace and love in the light of the gospel by the only One who alone knows the way to eternal life !
With love

Jesus went on with his disciples to the villages of Caesarea Philippi; and on the way he asked his disciples, ‘Who do people say that I am?’ And they answered him, ‘John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; and still others, one of the prophets.’ He asked them, ‘But who do you say that I am?’ Peter answered him, ‘You are the Messiah.’* And he sternly ordered them not to tell anyone about him.
Then he began to teach them that the Son of Man must undergo great suffering, and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again. He said all this quite openly. And Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. 33But turning and looking at his disciples, he rebuked Peter and said, ‘Get behind me, Satan! For you are setting your mind not on divine things but on human things.’
Mark 8, 27-33
