Read more: Our Lord never promised it will be easy….but there is help.Jesus never said that the road for those following Him will be smooth. He is not saying that in a man’s life who was baptised , confirmed there won’t be any temptation, storm, worry, illness, sadness, lack of understanding but what He is saying is that holding onto God it will be easier to live through, survive the difficulties , and if fallen , it’ll be easier to get back on one’s feet.

Read more: The Holy Spirit has to work within us and not instead of us…The Holy Spirit wants to work inside us and not instead of us, He is not going to write His decisions , advices on an illuminated neon signpost , that we only have one thing to do to, that is to nod : "Yes God, of course God !”and like this we march triumphantly on the road .Anyone living in the presence of the Holy Spirit  has also got to meditate within  himself in the quietness of  prayer to look for answers, to make an effort as to how to fulfil, in the age we live in , all that our Lord ,Jesus Christ set as a goal for us.

Read more: A special spiritual journey in Déva…A special spiritual journey in Déva….or our Lord Jesus Christ is then only One who leads us to eternal life .
Father Bernardin invited Father Dr Fábry Kornél to Déva to talk to us about his work as the chief organiser of the 52. Eucharistic Congress , that will be held in Budapest in 2020 during a special retreat in Déva .
It was a special event for all of us who attended not only from the Saint Francis Foundation but people from the local parish and surrounding areas .
It was a very eventful day and my admiration goes out not only to Father Kornél for his presentation and work but also for how well his presentation was received by the children as well and their great behaviour.
Father Kornél talked about his work, his own life , how he became aware that he was specially called by God to become a priest .He also presented some interesting slides and videos of earlier events.
After lunch we had Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament followed by reciting the rosary of Divine Mercy at 3 p.m.
After questions and answers the day was closed by the celebration of a holy mass.
Children were asked earlier to either sing, learn a poem or make a drawing depicting the meaning of the Holy Eucharist as they see it. Prizes were given for the best entires .
Most people there showed a keen interest to participate in this special event in 2020.
May God bless and help Father Kornél and his co-workers for the monumental work that they are called to do.
May God’s blessing be upon all those who attended as well.

Read more: Decisions…God cannot make decisions for us to choose what is good, everybody has to make their own decision in favour of love. Christ can shine, give us light, hope , strength , guide us as well to deepen our faiths , but we are the ones who have to make our decisions. Our eternal life is the fruit of our own decision .

Read more: Obedience or rejection…One either accepts Christ’s teaching or denies it, there is no middle of the road , one cannot pick and choose : I like this and I don’t like that , this still fits in with the trends of the world today, into the spirit of our time, in my comfortable life, but that is very harsh talk. The most common cause of the rejection of Jesus in our times is that He asks for something that cannot easily be done, accepted without faith, without making sacrifices .

Read more: We can be proud …The children from Iraq are happily greeting the statue of our Lady of Csíksomlyó , a beautiful gift from the children in need, who were taken in by the Saint Francis Foundation ! See these children dare and can show their devotion, love towards the children hit by war , banished from their homeland !
The children from Transylvania drew very cleverly pictures , that they sold and out of the money they raised , the statue of their blessed Heavenly Mother was made ! In the mean time a school was built out of the generosity of the people of Hungary in Iraq , and some good people undertook this voyage in the holy time of Lent , and as the photo shows , to their great delight the gift reached its destination!
Lets not be indifferent , lets not shrug our shoulders ! Love is inventive , it is Lent lets try to show our love towards each other , let them feel it ! Lets never say I cannot do anything for you , lets trust in the power of the word, the deed !! Lets believe that even the tiniest signs of sympathy arising from love have a tremendous power !
Thanks be to God !

Read more: Open my eyes Lord…As far as I am concerned not only during Lent , but during the year as well I read the Stations of the Cross not just once..I have a prayerbook I came across in Transylvania each time I read it, it’s text has a profound effect on me and makes me wonder what our Redeemer did for us ….did I deserve it ? I doubt it…
“Through the eyes of every tormented, tortured ,exhausted man, Christ carrying His cross is looking at you ! Help him as much as you can ! You can do a lot with just a warm, sympathetic glance , a sincere , kind word !
Open my eyes Lord that I may notice the sufferings of the people around me! Let me not pass them by blindly , but let me help according to my capability to ease the weight of their cross ! Even if I cannot do too much, but whatever I can I want to do  joyfully . “ Amen.
