Jesus did not ask us, to understand the world, but to love there and where we are needed the most . It is possible that the other person broken hearted, edgy , causes you pain , but even then lets dare to draw nearer to one another without armour and shield !

God, is like a caring mother , He showered us with a lot , and I believe that He gave us all that we may need during our wandering here on earth : He did not fill our satchels  only once so that if we use up the nourishment  from it He will let us  starve to death , however He fills it up with what we really need there and then. I encourage everybody , to dig deep in the satchel , right down to the bottom of it , because we can be quite certain that if God entrusts us to carry out a task , then He will also provide us  with the necessary talents to complete that task.

Only the present is in our possession, that we have to live according to our best possible capability, the present moment cannot be extended , one has to get ready so that one can deal with what tomorrow brings .

If we would know the burdens of tomorrow , we may even crumble under them, because we only get the strength to deal with the difficulties, problems of the today . If we would know the future we could not decide freely , and perhaps in the present we would be devoting less effort, we would strive for less . Jesus says :"Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble..”Matthew 6,34

I really love Padre Pio’s prayer :” My Lord I entrust my past to Your mercy , my present to Your love, my future to Your care !”

In my days as a seminarian I had a beautiful experience: our college was situated in Gyulafehérvár , next to the cathedral, so every evening one had to go past the thousand year old church. Once it was already late at night , by the time I arrived there , the gate was shut, and I knelt down on the doorstep . My eyes were level with the doorhandle , and through the keyhole I got a glimpse of the red light of the sanctuary lamp, that indicates the presence of the Holy Eucharist in the church . I realised then that to perceive, sense the divine secrets frequently one has to get down on one’s knees. One needs a love towards God, respect and openness so that their secrets maybe revealed to us , and they can have an influence on our lives .

I believe the more complicated the situation the more we need a play to  keep our peace of mind ! It is awesome to see the way these people in Damascus sit in the small alleys and play different games , chat amicably , whilst the combat units are rumbling there with bombs on the deck . Just 10 kilometres from the capital’s centre the fighting is still going on ….

I ask for peace from God for these people , and for us I ask from our Creator that enormous endurance that He blessed these people with !!
