1 January 2018….. We welcomed the New Year in Déva with some fireworks, a program presented by the children and then with the celebration of a holy mass ! May God’s blessing be on the young and old of the Saint Francis Foundation this year.! The foundation will celebrate it 25th birthday this year….when from one man’s dream a reality was born with the help of many others. May God”s blessing accompany Father Csaba further on his way , in his endeavours and all those who belong to this big family , and help them either by their work or support.

How great it would be if the Holy Family would be every Hungarian families’ ideal who decided in favour of life! I wonder how many abortions take place only because a child is a burden , because with a child there are worries because there is a necessity for a newer car or something else?! Let Mary be an example in this as well: yes despite everything else , I always decide in favour of life, a child ! No matter how much this decision costs !

Hope, the future are more important than our daily bread. The way-out we dreamt about in the collapsing today means life. the sensations of the outlines of the tomorrow can strengthen us , if need be, that even on an empty stomach man can move on. There is answer to all questions of our times! That is why I am asking for gnawing hunger , strength that we stand up in our powerless ,drifting world nearly only moved by inertia, facing up to our questions we embark on our way and find God !
I can envisage that from the big tree of mankind branches will be broken off and perish- this has already happened during the course of history-but somehow this holy trunk will put out shoots again!

Christmas can be a feast for all of us. We are not celebrating an event from the past, but the eternal life , a meeting with the eternal God. We can all be shepherds , the wise men of the Orient, and your home will be the cave in Bethlehem , with the Life in it, if you open your heart towards Christ.

Two thousand years ago with His infinite love God gives Himself to us. He comes among us as a vulnerable infant , nestles into Mary’s arms , and ever since then again and again He is born on our altars in the holy Eucharist. “ I am here, I am yours, I trust in you !” A living gift.
I like to imagine in my mind’s eyes the quiet, simple cave in Bethlehem , with the holy Family in it, with the Christ Child. What an amazing simplicity ! The Lord of the Universe comes into this world with empty hands ! He does not bring anything , because He Himself is the blessing, the gift.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son..” (John 3,16)

On the night of Christmas our Lord Jesus Christ did not come among us with lots of heavenly souvenirs , but He wanted to become a gift. It is great to give and receive , but we should not just simplify , reduce it to some trinkets, glass beads, odds and ends. Why could not I ask from God , what I really need the most ? And why could not I listen to what my wife is asking from God through me ? I should think what my child is asking from his Creator through me?
If I quieten down I’ll realise , that I have to become a gift. Every earthly object can only be a setting for the conscious giving of ourselves as a present.

When you are at the boundaries of earthly life know that your Lord so far gave you every but everything out of love , and this is why you can rest assured , that here as well newer gifts are awaiting you. What next ? The details are not really important- in time the veil will fall of those as well- what is important , you can trust infinitely the Heavenly Father , because He loves you with an eternal love , and every member of your beloved family .

The third day of the Triduum finished tonight in Déva. Our sincere gratitude and thanks for it . Those who were there were enriched by many beautiful thoughts …Mary accepted the angel’s message and was not resigned to what She heard to become the Mother of our Redeemer. We wait at times to to receive a sign from God , that God is really with us . In our deepening relation with God leads us there, to feel, experience the presence of the living God in our life.

A person longing to be cleansed hearing Christ knocking at his heart’s door , sets out , throwing open the door to Infinity, to a new world , where everything, but everything is a gift, where still the Giver of the gifts is the most important One, with whom one not only meets but also becomes gift dispensing gift ! It is great to become an encouraging, consoling , a dispenser of blessing, a blessing .
