No matter how much it hurts, we have to be aware that the truth heals. Whoever wants to get better we embrace them with love , but it is also our duty to warn the one  who is heading for disaster .

November is not only the month of the departed , during these times we think of our early loved who departed , but also to the eternal life , the final events as well! Lets become still looking at our life at some length , our relationships and holding onto God’s hand lets replan our lives ! Hatred , anger , sin are like a no through street that does not lead anywhere , but we also have to know that there is no such dead-end from where one cannot reverse , and we could not possibly continue towards our final destination !!

It is not only money that you can give to God , but from yourself, from your time as well you can give with love to your Creator !! In the bustle of your life you can take out your rosary and quietly you say a prayer , or you take the Holy Scriptures and read a passage , perhaps you sit in a church in front of the Holy Eucharist , then you really gave your Creator a gift from what is most precious for you , a few minutes of your life !! 

I believe that Christ is not looking at the value of the work that one regarded as the gift  you gave in that allocated time , perhaps that was not worth much but I am convinced if you give magnanimously , then in the eyes of God every minute of yours is a precious gift that will remain for the eternal life !!

Lets dare to undertake voluntary service , lets want to give time, energy to the One from whom we received all that we are,  we have , that we posses as a gift !!

Lord teach to be patient with life, people and myself….at times I try to hurry things along too much I try  and I try to urge to get answers before before the time has come  . Lord teach me to entrust myself to You until You see it fit and instead of my own will I’ll be able to accept Your greater and wiser plan . Help me to let life unfold slowly . Remind me that in every moment Your Divine grace is present ..Help me to slow down , that I can appreciate life and all that it has in store for me …Amen.

If I would be asked what is that ideal that I would like to fulfil , my answer would be , I would like to follow in the footsteps of Mary visiting Elizabeth. Carrying Christ in my heart , happily , joyfully , singing the Magnificat , that I could serve the people , carrying out the work just at hand .

In this world anything that happens to  us can be either a hinderance or springboard . In a serious illness a spirit can easily fall and can become absorbed into loss of faith, self-pity , atheism , loss of interest in life . For that person suffering means despair . But I am also convinced that this can be also  lead to the reverse : suffering can also lead one to repent , awakening of self-consciousness .

Saint Francis was suffering from a serious eye condition, he was in a lot of pain and when finally he could have drifted of the sleep from exhaustion , he could not because on the matte in the simple little house mice were running all over .

In the morning his companions felt sorry for him because he was living in such distress . This is how he answered them :” If someone goes into battle with a great King and there he partakes in the battle , he goes short of many things receives serious wounds , yet he still takes on the the great trials because the King will reward him “ The God given reward  abundantly compensate one for all suffering .

Whatever happens , whatever sorrow strikes us let’s not give up ! Let us believe in the final victory of love ! Let’s believe that despite everything , there is resurrection , there is eternal life .

My greatest grief was the loss of my mother . We were aware that she had a malignant tumour..the doctor called us in and told us by the time the autumn leaves fall down , most probably your mother won’t be alive . My poor sister could not accept this , started praying that this may not be so. I embraced my dear mother , of course she also was aware of what the doctor said , and she said “my son  , be not afraid, I am not afraid whatever number of days God gave me I give to both of you .

Every evening I went wherever they invited me to say mass, to give a sermon , but during the day I was with her. . We prayed the rosary together ….She told us many things , perhaps I never talked so much with my beloved mother as during those six weeks . My sister asked why does it have to be like that ? I told her “look our mother taught us how to walk, to speak to pray and now she’ll teach us how to die. To take leave with dignity from life , our loved ones . Believe me ,it is very important for us to learn this, as the day will come , when we will also find this very useful. “

There are lots of problems in our world , -it is true- here is the epidemic of the corona virus , where it came from, what it brings and takes ,  who is responsible for it we do not know ! As a priest of God I cannot comment on this , but I can say with full conviction though :if we love God very much , just as for a good sailor every wind is good , everything will benefit us  ! Because if we love sincerely , whatever happens for the fulfilment of our lives , it will send us flying into the open, welcoming arms of our Creator !

Failures, setbacks , the painful, bad happenings make us humble , modest , and at times like this we snuggle up to our God searching consolation , strength , healing ! If things go well and we have successes , achievements, then joyfully we give thanks  praising  the Holy Trinity  we search for God ! This is why our decisions , steps should not be led by fear  but  only by love !
